El Rey Designs, LLC. was founded in 2023 by US Navy Veteran Armando Borbon. After his 10 years of service in the military, Armando had the pleasure of working with some of the best spine surgeons in the country by providing hardware used in spinal surgery.  Over the years Armando gained a great respect and admiration for these surgeons and realized that many of them referred to themselves as carpenters of the human body.  The skill and precision required by these surgeons mirrored some of the skills Armando saw once he took up woodworking in 2014.  While nothing can compare to the precision and skill of a great surgeon, woodworking, in its purest form ,mimics the precision and artistic quality that only years of working at your craft can give you.  With those principles in mind, Armando decided it was time to share some of his skills as a woodworker and designer with those that can appreciate what it takes to achieve a beautiful body of work.
